Exploring virtual and augmented reality in higher education with Dr Zeynep Taçgın

uImagine will be hosting a professional learning program in the month of June 2019 which will provide academics and professional learning staff with the opportunity to explore the potential of using virtual and augmented reality technologies in higher education.  The series will feature the expertise of Dr Zeynep Taçgın, who is working in the Division of Learning & Teaching as a Post-doctoral Fellow.

The series will consist of a number of informal online Drop In sessions (using uImagine’s Zoom room) of 30 minutes duration on a number of afternoons in June from 2.30-3.00pm. The dates for these include:

Wednesday 5 June

Wednesday 12 June

Thursday 13 June

Monday 17 June

Thursday 20 June

Wednesday 26 June

Participants are encouraged to drop in to one or more of these sessions to ask Zeynep questions about VR or AR applications in higher education, and share their ideas about the potential of using VR or AR in one or more of their subjects.

As a result of the topics and ideas raised by participants in these Drop In sessions, Zeynep will write a series of blog posts addressing each topic, which will be published here on uImagine’s blog throughout the month of June.
